Company Profile - Our Background

   In 1980, P & S Sharpening Service was established as a part-time home occupation, to meet tool sharpening needs within the local community. Sharpening chains for power chain saws led to customers asking us to supply their chain needs.

   Sharpening other tools had customers ask us to supply circular saw blades, handsaws, mover blades, etc. Within several years, the sharpening revenues were surpassed by sales revenues. By 1985, P & S Sharpening Service carried a major line of chain saws. brushcutters, blowers and related accessories.

   In December of 1991, the principal had an opportunity to take early retirement from Bell Atlantic. The part-time home occupation was renamed P & S Equipment Sales to more accurately reflect the mission.

   In mid 1994, a new 3200 square foot building was purchased to provide sufficient space and an improved business location for the growing business.

Recently an addition was built to provide much needed storage space.
